Glad he got signed and I hope he does well and catches on somewhere as a result of this opportunity, but it seems this could be a tough place to earn the job with Dustin Colquitt generally considered one of the top 10 or better punters in the NFL.

According to this article, it's a tryout and not a contract signing.

He's not listed anywhere as a UFA.  Still, a tryout is better than sitting at home and he has a wide variety of skills that would make him useful on special teams.

Bates may have a shot..Bates was one of the better players at the minicamp, making plays from Friday’s first practice to Sunday’s final practice.

Now, he’ll have to wait his turn in a crowded wide-out group that includes Doug Baldwin, who led the team in receiving as a rookie free agent last season; an eclectic group of veterans that includes Golden Tate, Ben Obomanu, Deon Butler and Ricardo Lockette; and, eventually, Sidney Rice and Mike Williams, the incumbent starters who remain sidelined while recovering from surgery.

What about Keller?

Looks like Noah has signed for camp..as has Bates and of course Brazil was drafted..those other guys were basically try-outs. Keller and Bates have to make it thru camp or be signed to the practice squad...Brazil was drafted so his spot is a bit more secure.

Per the post article, it sounds like Keller did more than just sign for camp; it says he signed a three year deal, so maybe he has a little security, too.

All the guys at camp will have a "contract" but Brazill being the only draftee has the job security as a free agent your contract is not guaranteed and you could be released at anytime.

I don't believe most NFL contracts include much guaranteed money and all of them can be ended at any time with little consequence to the NFL team. That's why players with bad contracts get cut all the time in the NFL, whereas in other sports, those teams are out the entire contract amount if they cut them (unless a buyout is agreed to or someone actually claims them on waivers). So there's no guarantee to either Brazill or Keller or any player, for thar matter, but it does show confidence by the team that they would want to lock them up for that long.
