Tyler is listed 1st among non-BCS candidates for the Heisman in this article.

Remember before last season when I was complaining that we've never had a solid 3-4 year starter? LOL!

I'm glad he and the program are getting recognition, but I hope T2 isn't reading all this press.

If he continues to improve, I think by his senior year this could be legit.  Right, now it's a bit premature.

On a related vein, and in response to an earlier post about LB making TT look better than he actual is, I remember having the same thoughts about Chad Pennington when all he had to do was throw the ball where only Randy Moss could leap up and get it.  I remember thinking anybody could do that -- even me, Al Swank or L.C.  Then, Randy left for the NFL and Chad continued to put up great numbers and I had to admit that my initial assessment of Chad was incorrect.  I think the same may hold true for TT.

The key to winning the Heisman these days is developing a large social media bandwagon.  TT needs a solid twitter hashtag to support his candidacy.

I've seen crazier things happen.

No, the key now, as always, is playing for a big-name program with a score of excellent teammates.

That is more of a requirement. With a namebrand like OHIO and a talented supporting class i think OUr key here will be distinguishing TT from Shoelace. IMHO, Robinson has a leg up in the nickname department. Maybe we can push the fact that TT is the son of a Major Leaguer to offset that?

Wow, talk about putting the cart before the horse....

Let's let TT see what he can do as a Junior, and then worry about it.

I agree with L.C.  The team and TT do not need the distraction that would go with hyping him as a Heisman candidate.

Agreed, all of the new hype can be detrimental to a young QB's psyche.

On another note, getting pumped for football season. Just moved back to Athens and locked down my season tickets today. I am going to be in section 103. Where is everyone else going to be for this year? Also, what do we think about the majority of our receiving core graduating/being drafted this year. Who do we have that can step up?

Great to see this press, but this is a bit much! Let's see how his junior year pans out first before we proclaim him as a Heisman candidate!

Any talk would require an unbeaten season and that would atleast open the debate.
