Tonight I saw my beloved Mets get their first no-hitter in team history. 50 years...

2+ months ago I was watching Ohio's Sweet 16 run...

Maybe this fall there will be the drubbing of PSU/BCS bowl bid...

I don't endorse the furry lifestyle, but when the Bobkitten is involved things can change mighty quickly...

While I shared your emotions on the last two thoughts, I have to question anyone who lives in Chicago and refers to "my beloved Mets." For shame! Go Cubs!! I HATE the Mets, and can never forgive them for 1969.

I think winning at Penn State is slightly greater than improbable, but not guaranteed. Being an eastern Pennsylvanian resident, I've been to a few games at Happy Valley, and let me tell you, It's scary for the opposing team. I personally think that the "WE ARE" "PENN STATE" is so much more intimidating than that stupid O-H-I-O chant. It's really something to appreciate if you're visiting even if you hate Penn State's guts.

I still have a few friends who go to Penn State, and we've been trash talking to each other for a few years now about this game, so I hope we come out on top!

BCS bid however... While i'm not saying that its impossible to get one, I think because our schedule is fairly easy (beating 1 good BCS team doesn't mean an automatic bid to a BCS bowl even with an undefeated season), we would get over looked by most committees. But you never know, all of the BCS teams could have incredibly mediocre seasons with at least 1 or more losses which would help our case greatly. Keep your fingers crossed!

Look at Boise last year. They beat #19 (at the time) Georgia by 2 tds to start the season, their only loss was a one-pointer to TCU (which finished top 20), they were top 10 at the end of the regular season and they wound up at the Las Vegas Bowl vs. 6-6 Az St while two lower-ranked teams -- Michigone and VA Tek -- went to the Sugar Bowl. Why? Blatantly because the other two teams travel better (i.e., they brought more money to Nawlins). I'm afraid that even if the Cats go unbeaten and win by wide margins, BCS bowls are out of reach due to the economics. They might get a better bowl than the MAC is tied to (e.g., the Sun), but BCS is pretty much a pipe dream for MAC-level schools.

I actually thought we had a better chance before JoePa got fired and passed away.......

JoePa or no JoePa, I think OHIO has an excellent chance of winning this game. Perhaps, It'll be deja vu all over again for PSU.

Anytime you bring in a new coach with a new system, there's a period of adjustment, so execution means more than emotion in this game. I give Ohio about a 40% chance of beating PSU -- which is more than I would've given them in other years.
