I know we beat up on EMU a lot, and let's face it, a school whose acronym is a large, stupid, flightless bird often deserves it.  But let's look at what EMU sports has done this past season:

Football -- 6-6 overall record (although two wins were against 1AA schools); 4-4 in the MAC, tied for 4th in the West with BSU (who beat us at home); played NIU tough in Dekalb.

Men's b-ball -- Won the namby-pamby MAC West with a 9-7 conference record; 14-18 overall (beat us).

Baseball -- 6th seed in the MAC tourney with a 14-13 record (24-29 overall).

I don't think they've turned a corner, but at least the corner may be in sight.

Give them a few years.  If they start winning more games, a MACC or a bowl or two and you'll see that number rise.  There's probably a sentament amongst all but the most diehard fans that their schedule wasn't that strong.

Ours was 118 and there's was 116.

I wasn't around OU before Solich, how was attendence when Knorr was here?  Before Grobe?

It wasn't good in the Knorr era, but it wasn't anywhere close to as bad as Eastern Michigan's is now. I can't really say as far as before Grobe.
