Should we get new uniforms?

The Bleacher Report (I know, I know it's the Bleacher Report), But they posted that we should change up our uniforms and we came in at 47.

So what does everybody think? Should our uniforms get a face lift? Or should we keep the classic traditional look? Personally I think it would be cool to have a green and white version of the black uniform design, but I have no problems with our uniforms now. If we keep winning we could wear tie dye for all I care as long as we keep bringing in the W's...

Anyone who watches football just for the unis (as Mr. Vasta apparently does) would watch the swimsuit competition in a beauty pageant just to see the shoes they wear. It's not about fashion; it's about football. With all due respect to Mr. Vasta, he should screw off.

I wish we still had the stripes on the pants because it would go very well with the stripes on the shoulders. Otherwise, I like that our regular uniform is classic college. I also miss these basketball uniforms:

Funny thing: I actually bought that #4 at the surplus sale a couple years ago.

I like the idea of adding the stripes in the pants like the Colts... A little wider than the old Addidas stripes...

Nice Classic look.

However, The Black uniform style would look pretty darn good in Green, White.....

Having watched the video of the kids seeing the black uniforms, and having watched the result against Marshall, I would want to factor in what the players want.

Ohio's uniforms are very plain, but I don't think that's a bad thing. If there's one thing I'd change, I think they should put the arch OHIO logo on the chest above the jersey number. That would help solidify it as the jersey from Ohio University. I'm at least glad the Bobcat is on the collar to show that it is our jersey. Several years ago, I bought an Ohio replica of the jerseys they wore before 2007. Those jerseys had no mark whatsoever identifying them as our jersey. In fact, on the replica I bought, they put the Attack Cat logo on the right chest because without it, no one would even know it was suppose to be an Ohio University football jersey. I wouldn't be terribly upset if the uniforms went through a makeover, but I'm more of a traditionalist when it comes to uniforms. I don't want to see a bunch of weird piping and stripe combinations.

I think the Uniforms are great how they are. I think our black jerseys have enough "flair" to them to keep the fans thinking that we're stuck in past as far as uniform design goes. I think our home and away uniforms are fine how they are.

I like our uniforms. The black ones were awesome. I like the idea of a special one and should be player driven. They wanted black and they turned out great. Let's keep it with them.

I love the look of the uniforms. The black ones were okay, but the traditional ones are my favorite.

Prepare to see crazy stripes, unconventional colors, and likely to look nothing like Ohio should look, if you're letting the players decide. Young athletes love crazy unconventional looks (see Oregon).

yes. absolutely. ditch Russell and go with Nike or Under Armor. I like our unis well enough but safe, traditional looks are for programs with tradition. We need to look new and improved.

Start by changing the helmet to green with white lettering, looks better when you wear white on white instead of looking like a can of generic beer.

Warning: sock tangent.

I know it's en vogue to wear low-cut socks and just let the calf go uncovered in college football right now, but I'd prefer the socks to be worn up with the stripes showing, like the NFL mandates. Low-cut socks make even the biggest powerhouse programs in the country look like a high school team.

I like socks, too, but when all the skill players unis are cut off above their knee it's not going to be a good look. Lederhosen come to mind.

Temple game was huge. Potato Bowl game not so much. New Orleans Bowl not so much. Not sure about other game, but I think I remember hearing good things about the other games last year. Per the 2nd article Potato Bowl was good.

Anyone have any updates or rumors on who will be selected to provide uniforms to the Bobcats.

I'm guessing they will stay with Russell but it sounds like they are taking bids now.....
