Thanks for these interviews, Ted. They are always appreciated.

Interestingly, when as I watched this one, I noticed a link for a video of a Fred Duda run from Nebraska, 1965. If you watch the video, you will notice that the Fullback, though small, is relentless. First he takes the fake handoff from Duda off tackle. Next he slams into the weak side linebacker who was crossing over after the MLB blitzed, sealing him off, and taking him out of the play. Not content, he spins around, and looks for someone else to block, and takes out the guy pursuing Duda. As a side note of interest, while the triple option traces it's roots to 1968 at Texas, this play sure looks like one - fake to the fullback, QB rolls out, options the corner, and cuts back against the grain.

After that, I looked around and found this 1965 footage  of the Air Force game, that got him on the cover of SI. He had some speed, too.

Watch the line blocking.  You'll actually see some OLs driving their shoulders into defenders instead of today's wholesale pushing.

Interesting interview.  Curious if any ex-football players have heard of this "unity council" concept.  Does it really help to develop leaders?
