Is anyone else experiencing poor productivity this week besides me?

I swear I'm worse than I was during the Tourney. Maybe its because there's so much national press on this game so I've got more to distract me, that and the press feels eerily similar to the lead up to the Michigan game- we're the sexy underdog pic while the B1G opponent's coach is disrespecting us and their fanbase is as delusional as ever (lose to a MAC team? never!).

There are grown adults going on national television and saying with a straight face that they think Ohio University's football program could go undefeated and play in a BCS bowl. wha? What planet am I living on and how can anyone expect me to get any work done around here? seriously.

Meanwhile Fiami fans are deciding whether or not to they should wear a Fiami shirt under their buckeye's jersey tomorrow.

GO OHIO

MY STATE. MY TEAM.

I had a pretty unproductive week thinking about this game and the start of college football in general. Luckily I saved my August Summer Friday until today, so I only had to be unproductive for four days.

GO OHIO

When we upset Georgetown I went crazy and celebrated.  Our run last year though had me stopping to look around and say WOW this is really happening.  Ohio is in the Sweet Sixteen.  We are playing North Carolina where Michael Jordan went, the #1 seed.  We are taking them to overtime.  This is it, this is what it feels like to win at the highest level.   We are that mid-major that is on a magic run.  I didn't expect it, but I always held out hope and thought our hoops program had crazy potential.
Football though? Ohio undefeated? BCS? I just want to win tomorrow so I can keep dreaming about being ranked.  We didn't ever used to win.  We used to run the option!
As fun as actually winning this season would be fun, I am more excited to see what campus is like if we are undefeated.  I cannot comprehend what it will feel like on campus if we are undefeated come Halloween.  I just cannot picture it.  All I do know is that it would awesome.  I got so lucky with the years I picked attending Ohio University.  The last 4 years have by far been the schools most successful EVER in football and basketball.  And this season on paper is shaping up to be the best yet.

I've seen crazier things happen.

Speaking of March Madness in September, I am wearing the same Ohio University Polo and dress pants to work today that I wore on gamedays for the NCAA tournament.  Didn't see any reason to change the mojo.

I couldn't agree more. I made my kids help me hang the green and white paw flag this morning before work and of course they loved it! All this media attention has me crazy. I downloaded the media guide, and game notes at lunch so I would have something to do at work this afternoon.
Has it really been that long since K. Wilson and the triple threat option?
Opps, gotta run the boss is here.

Last spring I decided that taking Thursday and Friday off the week of March Madness was the best thing I ever did in my life. Employer didn't know any better either as it isn't a national holiday.

I'm re-thinking the first weekend of college football to do the same. I've been totally unproductive this week. Also, it's college colors day which means my Ohio University hoodie is just what I need for this icebox of an office with the AC cranked.

The statement above about this being the best time ever (well, since at least the early 60's) is spot on.  My nephews are lucky lads.
