Well, I know one team I will not worry about this year.  This is epic.

Haha.  That is classic.  What's worse is the Towson player tackled him!

Believe it or not, though, this is an impressive romping by Kent.  Towson won the Colonial last year (the best FCS conference), and is in the top ten in all the preseason FCS polls.  Their coach was FCS coach of the year, too.  I know there were a lot of expectations out this way (I went to TU for grad school) that they would win or compete in this game.  They still have to play LSU yet....that should be ugly.

I was wondering what that was about.......I saw a clip of Kent vs. Towson during the SC-Vandy game last night but had the sound down low.  I thought to myself "why are they showing a highlight from this game?"

Now I know......to show the other things Kent "Can't."

Reports I've read say that the play should have been called dead as soon as the Kent player recovered it. Is this a rule change? Because I remember Julian Posey scoring a touchdown off a muffed punt against Wofford.

You can't advance an onside kick, I know that much. I'm pretty sure you can't advance a muffed punt either. However, if it is fumbled after the player makes a "football move" or whatever they call it, I believe it can be advanced.

The MAC did itself no favors last night to impress the rest of the country.  This is just dumb.

The difference between the Kent play and Posey's touchdown was the fact that the Wofford returner caught the ball and was attempting to juke our coverage.

Here's the video for comparison.

Of course, the ball wasn't advanced on this play.
