According HerdNation the equipment room at Marshall tweeted the info today! This is what makes this rivalry so much more fun than Miami.

Not special uniforms. A special addition to the uniforms which leads me to believe it may be a tribute of some kind. Maybe a helmet sticker or something like that. Maybe something to commemorate 9/11 or the two WV State Troopers that were killed a couple of weeks ago.

We did get new white and green unis this season, if they were able to keep an alternate uni secret all this time it would be a miracle.

We can't be too far from Vegas creating odds on what combination uniform each team will wear each Saturday and a Over/Under for the number of helmets that come off!

I hope that is the way our team and fans are approaching this game. The butt whipping we took up there last year kind of rekindled the fire for me in this rivalry.

Apparently it's been confirmed it's a sticker to honor two WV state troopers who were fatally shot a couple weeks ago.

In a funny off topic note, I guess Iowa is rumored to get a new uniform for its game against Purdue. Here is a quote from the article I found funny: "Now before you go all Ohio-getting-black-jerseys over this uniform, it's just a rumor." I guess it was nice that they at least linked to the article about it too, so some more pub about OHIO.

We ought to double the gesture. Request to wear the decals on OUr helmets, too. Talk about doing something to put things in a right context.

The Troopers somehow missed the weapon during the frisk. Its not clear if he was cuffed in the front or he slipped out of the cuffs but he shot both of them in the back of the head as they sat in the front seats of the cruiser.

+1. We should definitely have the decal on our helmets as well. We had the blue ribbon for the Penn State game.

that's a terrible tragedy, nice touch by the Herd to honor their memory.

saw a tweet from our eq mgr, looks like we're going with the same set up as at PSU- green hat, white shirt, green pants. me likes.
