She had an article about attempting to watch the Penn State game..  I won't take issue with her until she starts claiming football brings no value to the school and we need to cut athletic funding.  That said, I will not be asking her on any dates..

I've seen crazier things happen.

The only thing she really needs to do is sit through an Intro to Sports Management class and see why there are so many distractions. As far as the drunk people...welcome to OHIO!

I have stepped over drunk people in class... That is definitely going to be an issue.

Also hidden on the back inside cover of today's Post...   Freshman enrollment and ACT's up.  This is a result of OUr stellar Classics and World Religions department's broadening appeal.

I've seen crazier things happen.

I think she needs to be reassigned to a different beat.

Isn't the Paw Paw festival coming up?

Are these articles supposed to be satires? It's either that or someone hired this girl to directly support the faculty who oppose athletics at Ohio.

The fact that she asks "Is being on ESPN a big deal?" makes me wonder if these are supposed to be comedic relief rather than actual journalistic pieces of work.

"This weekend I got to attend my first OU football game."

Ok, probably true for a lot of people that day...

 "Haylee Pearl is a sophomore"

Whoa wait a second, why on earth would anyone care what her opinion is when she didn't go to a single game last year while a student. The year of our first ever bowl win mind you!

Honestly reading her stuff makes me want to stab myself in the eyeballs.  What a piece of ignorant, lazy garbage.  In the prequel she says she doesn't even know where the Convo is - thats f%^&king impossible for a sophomore even if you hate sports, its massive!

Gah now my blood is boiling...

I think this is meant to be satire--primarily for those people who are not sports fans.

I hope her inability to grasp isn't indicative of the intellectual caliber of the majority of Scripps students or Post staffers...

If it was, it really missed the mark.  At least in my eyes.

I agree withe the first part of your statement Robert but not the second.  These pieces are brilliant!  The posts on this thread are exactly the reactions she was looking for.  A bunch of sports crazed folks attacking her for making fun of them.  I can't wait to read her article this week.

She may have some future in the Onion SportsDome.

If that truly is the case, I give her credit she makes an effort to poke us all in the ribs and succeeds.

Those "articles" and this thread made my day.  Hilarious.

I want more.

I think they should try to send her to some community stuff, like a City Council Meeting, the Farmers Market, a Birth Circle meeting, etc.

If she could successfully use the term "indefatigable stimuli" in a piece about a farmer's market then I would take back everything I've said about her.

I have to agree with her about the First Citizens Bank First Down thing though... Lord knows I heard enough of that the last time I was at your place.

That's almost funny.  It's amazing that when many posters were here as students, the Post was gospel.  Now that we're older white men in the "real world" the post is junk.  Kind of like that scene in the Big Chill where someone says something along the lines of we were great then but we're rubbish now.  I guess I need to go watch it again tonight to get the exact quote.
