You all played tough... your fans showed up... and you all seem to have won with class.

I love the rivalry.

Enjoy The Bell.

For the ones who came, hope you enjoyed your time in Huntington, I tried to talk to every Bobcat fan I saw... some were pretty taken by surprise that I was being nice to them... Maybe socially awkwardness or something? haha

See you in Athens for basketball.

I didn't have a bit of ill felt smack thrown my way.  Well, the guy yelling "Here, kitty kitty kitty" that disappeared in the second quarter was kinda annoying, but it happens.  Had a blast in your stadium; insane atmosphere, great treatment from the fans, entertaining game.  Not much more you can ask for.

I gotta ask after all this talk of our following.  From a Marshall fan's prospective, how was our following to the game?

Of the 3 games (two basketball and one football) Ohio has played in Huntington, you brought more fans yesterday than all of those combined.

I was really surprised, and your all's voices were heard...

I am curious though why there was a crowd of about 50-60 in the endzone together? How did they end of there?

Also... the 110 was great as always.

Cheers.

Thanks for stopping by post-game.  I started at Ohio in '07, and as such the Marshall rivalry was not something I'd been a part of until the recent renewal of the series.  The story lines of the games, from the bowl to the failed 2-pt conversion, last year's drubbing to last night's nail-biter (to say nothing of the bball series), have rapidly made this one of the most fun games of the year for me.

I was in the endzone.  That was a group purchase through the Marshall ticket office.  A large group of current students/recent alums gave one guy money and he bought all the tickets... I would imagine that because it was such a large group purchase they put us there to get all the seats together.  No clue when it was actually purchased, but I feel like it was this week which would've limited where there were still a lot of seats remaining.

I had a great experience

I've seen crazier things happen.

I had a great time at the game (my first at the Joan) and had no problems with any Marshall fans...well, thats not QUITE true: there was one obnoxious Marshall fan sitting next to me, jawing the whole game. Of course, he was my old college roommate's dad and was doing it all in good fun, so its not a "real" complaint. He is MUCH more fun to sit next to when we're winning (unlike the Pizza Bowl).
