Back to Top BuddyLee General User Member Since: 12/20/2004 Post Count: 682 Status: Offline     RE: Oh, baby, what a big time win.    Posted: 9/15/2012 10:04:26 PM  There were a lot of replays and calls that you could argue both ways tonight, so I won't get involved in that argument that Marshall fans are going to bring up.  Game ball definitely goes to Carpenter for this one.  A lot of work still to do on defense, like getting more pressure on the quarterback and coverage obviously, but good teams just find a way to win.  I will say that Cato was a beast out there and Marshall going to win a lot of games with him at qb. I have respect for Marshall, and the rivalry, but the "condescending asshole" thing is just frustrated fans taking out their aggressions. However, I believe this is my favorite part of the whole thread: "Marshall fans used to have a swagger about them that screamed confidence...and a fanbase who, unlike wvu, would actually research and know about their team rather than just sporting a shirt bought from Walmart. It was this swag we had that made opposing fans just, pretty much without asking, respect us due to the fact we carried ourselves so confidently." But I also lived thru the years of Marshall and Pennington and Moss and Ohio failure.  They spit on us....they degraded us....they owned Suthern Ahia because we sucked and they were good....but they rubbed it in.
