It would be cool if UMass' 1st MAC home game was against a ranked opponent.

I've seen crazier things happen.

Don't expect it to happen.  Best chance is AP, where we're 29th.  UCLA is the only top 25er likely to drop out, but they'll be replaced by the team that beat them, Oregon St.  Arizona might drop out if they lose big to Oregon.  But Baylor & Northwestern who are both ahead us both won, so moving up will be difficult.  We might actually lose ground to BSU, NIU and maybe CMU because of their wins today.

Another easy win. Love it. Rack up the top 25 votes.

Michigan and Boise State may both drop out.  Michigan for losing to ND, Boise for not winning very well.  Michigan State should drop for only beating EMU by 16 points.  And, yes, AZ may drop out if they get blown out...

I don't expect to be ranked this week.

I agree that Michigan and Boise State may fall out. Boise looked awful. . Penn State winning again should help our cause. I predict Ohio will climb to #27.

Umass played Miami tough; 27-16 loss.  My question:  is it because Umass is improving, or because (as a rule) Miami sucks?

Once you're in the top 25, a win is usually enough to keep you there.  Boise may drop to 25, but I don't expect them to drop out.  MSU is likely to be 23 or 24 at worst.  Mich may also depart, but since their loss was to a higher ranked team, they'll probably stay in.

Arizona will be unranked based on this second half.

Miami has been outgained by UMass AND SIU. Harwell was their most important offensive player and he's gone. They might be the MAC's worst.

Watched a good chunk of the first half today, came away impressed with their RB Cox. UMass may well win a couple this year, which is no mean feat for a transitioning school (and they didn't go the UTSA route of scheduling).

Hey, that early UTSA schedule was a killer. Alabama, Texas A&M, Georgia, Oklahoma State....

Oh, wait, that was South Alabama, Texas A&M-Commerce, Georgia State, and Northwestern Oklahoma State.

I did too...

Seems they have at least 2 transfer grad students starting...One from Michigan and one from Florida I believe...

They got after Dysert early...They play hard...A couple of big Miami stops on 4th down attempts deep on their side of the field kept this one from being closer...

I'm guessing the Minutemen are curious about the eyepatch, and would like to leave Ohio in a ditch.

I believe the RB who impressed me early was from Michigan.
