Me too.

The only thing I'm worried about is that Frank might feel a bit compelled to use the "Two-headed Monster" QB system that really retarded our QBs growth/effectiveness in the past.

I really doubt Frank would do it. This is TT's ship. He'll let him pilot it.

Vick looks like an average 1st string MAC QB. Its all the tools in the offense around him that are making him look unstoppable. TT is a more complete QB and across all phases from passing to rushing the ball is a Top 10 FBS QB. The nice thing about the easy schedule this year is Ohio can save TT for the big games. They may as well keep him out next week against UMass if he's healing up as they are the worst team in FBS this season.

For Vick to look like "an average 1st string MAC QB" is a pretty great compliment considering it is just his second game, and his first full game. He has a lot of quality football ahead of him. No one thinks he is going to take the job from TT, but I bet everyone feels a lot more relaxed about what would happen if TT gets hurt.

I feel a lot better about Vick in his first lengthy appearance than I did with TT, and we see how that turned out.

Vick needs to two things- 1. Be able to hold it together if TT goes down this year or next. 2. Start 2014 as QB1 with little to no drop off from TT.

He's at or ahead schedule, looked good today.

This was the upside of scheduling a FCS opponent, got to rest TT so he is fresher for the MAC play run and we got to give real 1st string action to Vick and now we know he can effectively run the offense if he ever has to be called upon this season.

I thought he did great.  He wasn't forcing passes, he made good reads, and he controlled the offense well.  I know he had short fields in the first Q but we've seen short fields go to waste.  He made the most of them.  Let's face it, this offense was made with T2 in mind, but I thought Vick handled it really well.  I feel more comfortable about him stepping in if need be.

I thought Vick was extremely impressive today.  It's nice to know we have a competent signal caller to back up TT.

What was particularly impressive is that despite the pressure on him, he appeared very calm, and he played intelligently. I have seen plenty of QB's come in, and feel like they need to "make something happen", and when they try too hard to "make something happen", something usually does happen, and it isn't good. Vick had no turnovers, some nice passes, and some nice option plays, and he seemed to be making very good reads and audibles. All in all, for his first start, I'd give him an "A" for sure.

I was also impressed with him in the post-game interview. He seems like a very fine young man. Rumor has it that he's an excellent student, too. He's definitely an asset to the program.

He was good, about as good as youcould possibly expect a backup Qb in the MAC to be.   The only negative I remember is a bad throw on a 3rd down with a wide open Roback.

The Quarterback picture for this 4 year stretch is crystal clear and I like it.

Yes, nice job by the young man.

I wonder though in the 4th quarter why we didn't see another QB?  Could the preferred walk-on run the offense considering he probably knows the other team's offense better from playing against the Ohio defense in practice all week?

TT played first year than sat second year.--so it is not like it hasn't worked before.   With two freshman on the roster this year why not give the walk-on a few snaps as next year he'll likely be 3rd, 4th or 5th on the depth chart and the coaches may have missed any chance to give the kid some payback for his efforts  for helping the team prepare for opponents and doing it when paying his own way.

An intresting thing is, if we have an FCS as our second home game why not sit your QB after the 1st Quarter. Gets recruits saying "if I practice well I can be on a great team, and play" I know TT is the Captain, but it helps us think the ship will be fine down the road.

I noticed that as well. Besides playing incredibly well for it being his first start, he was very well spoken in the interview with Rob and Russ. Just gave me the impression that he is a very heady footballer. To early to judge, and I don't want to jinx him, but I am looking forward to seeing him develop his skills further on the field.
