That's what I like to see!

#26 in AP, and ESPN power rankings and now #25 in Fox power rankings.

I love all this attention OU is getting. If we beat Akron this week, I think it's a lock that we'll be in the top 25.

If we beat Akron would our ranking stay with our bye week? I'd hate for us to work so hard to be ranked just to lose it if we have a weekend off and someone in the 28-35 range have a heck of a game...

Having a bye week and beating Akron or Buffalo probably has about the same effect. No chance to prove much, so it's all a matter of what the other teams ahead and behind do. Usually, there is one or two more teams ahead that lose and get dropped than there are teams behind that win impressively enough to jump up, so usually it results in a net gain or a couple places. But it is possible to drop.
