I don't know the original developer of the C-Paw, but when compared against the dueling horseshoes it replaced, or the angry bearcat in the early 80s, the C-Paw was a great improvement.
I had a cup with this logo on my desk growing up. And you thought the old Bobcat was dippy looking? If you tilt this 45 degrees, it would double as album art from a mediocre Norwegian minimalist ska band. When UC moved to the Big East, some consultant made a lot of money by tweaking the toenails and tilting the red bar. Sometimes, you don't get what you pay for. Edit: Just so you don't think this is the Cincy boy getting all defensive, I will show you the most amateur logo ever foisted up the public. THe original Cincinnati Cyclones logo was literally drawn with a ball point pen.
