Those are the all the teams in the top 25 that lost today. Several were undefeated and several lost to unranked conference foes. Losing sucks, but its not uncommon.

Let's get ready for some MACtion in 5 days. can't wait!

You're right, but those teams have a greater margin of error to make quality bowl games and they didn't lose to a 3-4 MAC team.

I think that a better list of numbers are the numbers of injured players we're missing. I think that a healthy Ohio is a legit 20-25 ranked team in the country. Key injuries make them a bottom 1/3 team in FBS, though. Ohio and the MAC have made huge strides, but lack of depth kills. The conference just isn't respected enough nationally for teams to lose to each other and still earn national respect.

This hurts because we could have jumped pretty high.  Other than Penn State, everyone but the Bobcats took care of business for us.

I've seen crazier things happen.

It would be one thing if yesterday was an anomaly.  Yesterday was our 4th straight awful game.  We barely escaped embarrassing losses against three bad teams, but yesterday our opponent was a little better than awful and you see the result.  Quality of play has to improve or we are looking at a 1-3 finish.

I love you DCF. YOu have been a welcome bastion of consistency throughout the years. I could have predicted this post. WOnderfully optimistic and totally Pro CATS but the first to take the 310 foot plunge in your own emotional mind sized version of Cedar Point . THe best part of you is that regardless of how many times this happens you always come back for more.  Keep the faith and do not scare the massess away. As RUss was careful to say on the air yeasterday. It will be interesting to see how many fans jump ship after yesterday. He kind of implored or challenged everyone to stay the course as this team still needs the fan support in a hotly contested MAC East that is way better than the pundits have relaized followng a great Out of conference record against the Big Boys.

never argue with idiots, they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I'll be there Thursday. Bobcat recruit or two in tow. Cheering like hell. Still love my team, still love my school. But the edge will be gone.

I'm still aboard...but for at least 12 more hours I reserve the right to do such as ask how many of 2,7,8,,9,15,22,25 had overtime absolutely cinched but blew that.

I am very disappointed. On the other hand, over the last 40+ years it has been much more common for Ohio to have only one win at this point than to only have one loss.

I do think that some of Ohio's toughest games lie ahead. I wish a few of them had come earlier. Ohio's early success may make any subsequent losses that much harder to bear.
