Ohio Penalties: 5 for 58 yds (Including the slap to the helmet and hold when we were on the 25.  Result was no points.  Miami Penalties: 1 for 5 yards.  No effect.

Ohio yards rushing lost and sacks: 47 yards lost and 6 sacks (44 of yards lost).  Miami had 10 yards lost rushing and only 2 sacks for 5 yards.

Throw in the one big time blown pass coverage on the long TD and the points we left on the table when we settled for field goals and the result is loss #1.

We just need to play a lot better than we did in many areas.

We really got beat at the line yesterday.  Not only on the sack count, but giving up 113 rushing yds to a team that was averaging 65/game was a killer.

We will get by.
We will get by.
We will get by.
We will survive.

Look at the number of possessions we had and the number of points that we scored.  Against that defense.

Not good at all.

I'm with you here. Most of the complaints are against the defense all year, but to hold a team to 23 points is a good effort with as many points as teams score now. You've got to score more than 20, especially with an offense that produces so many plays per game.

Yep, we put up our usual 30+ and we easily win that game.  Offensive line wasn't on their usual game, nor was the Tett Offensive.

I agree. I thought it during the game and when I looked at the box score it seem that we "won" almost every other part of the game except for sacks, penalties and lost yards...Nevertheless Fiami had a bit to do with that...and I HATE THAT.

I much prefer redhawk's m.o. of going for qb pressure to our sit back and let the qb have his shots approach.  I'm betting that our D plays better when we turn them loose a bit.  It's human nature to rise to a challenge.  I like that we're not overly emotional.  I think that we can rise to the responsibility, letting more of our abilities show, without losing control.
