dont worry you wont have to see our name scroll along the bottom again for a long time. Probably years. I think people are forgetting how impactful this loss really is and what we potentially missed out on.

I agree...I wish I could be a "glass half full guy" like some on this board and say...."Chins up...give EMU hell next wek" yada yada yada....

But I cant...

We really missed out on something big here.

I totally disagree. It is likely we won't be there this year, but I have actually been thinking a lot about next year. We Travis Carrie back next year, we really don't lose a whole lot as far as seniors go, and we are likely to gain with some of the current RS frosh coming in. Even before this loss, I have been thinking that the potential is actually greater for next year.

Remember what Confucius checked in with when we were worrying about the possibility that the bye week would drop us out of the Top 25: It better to fall from grace by doing nothing than being humbled by Flying Suck. While he didn't clarify what a "Flying Suck" is, I'm assuming it is a Miami Redhawk ... right?

The only thing that is a fact is that nothing is a fact.
If this statement is true, it is also false.

In my opinion, getting out of the top 25 and putting a rest to some of the hype is the silver lining of this loss.

Your point is noted...and I agree...we will most definately be a better team next year...but the fact remains....we shot ourselves in the foot in reference for the here and now.

We went from 2 weeks of national recognition, from being talked about on College Gameday, to not even being in the full drivers seat in the MAC....

So yeah....lets get our heads up, and kick the crap out of EMU.

Exactly, missed out on something big.  It would have been nice to have been in top 25 for a few weeks, especially with Rutgers losing today.  While we should be good next year, there are no guarantees.
