Everyone will come down off the ledge here in a couple of days. This team still has the possibility to do great things. The only thing this loss means is Ohio can't win them all and the BCS is out the window. Still A LOT of season left to be played. Some work needs done for sure, but this program has played well after a loss under this staff's tutelege. I would expect no different on Thursday.

Agreed, GC105.  I think BCS hopes were thin at best as Ohio really isn't BCS worthy.

I honestly think the pressure's off a little bit now for Ohio.  Now they don't have to worry about having an undefeated season, they won't have all the media hoopla and attention they've enjoyed the last couple of weeks to deal with and can now just concentrate on EMU and the remainder of the MAC season.

Agree. With our injuries, we just weren't as good as people thought. The loss was more than 1 play. We'd be nowhere w/out those two. Disappointing, but we've come such a long way.

FINISH STRONG!

Still the two best things to happen to Ohio football in my opinion.

Solich: Just coming here got people riled up. Has built a program that was truly garbage, and has gotten it past recyclable, past swapmeet to about Family Dollar. Walmart is next. One major blemish early on that thankfully has appeared to be an anomaly.

Tettleton: He is so much better than the typical QBs Ohio had been "blessed" with.  Now, I missed the 2nd half of today's game. And it sounds like TT really screwed the pooch at the end. But his credit is still good at this casino.

Solich and Tyler (and Blankenship et al)  are the reasons we've come this far.

Regroup, channel the frustration into a whoopin' on EMU, then win big game at home vs BG.

9-1 heading into away game vs BSU, and then Kent State.

I see this as a wake-up call for coaches and players.  Reality check.

And if Tyler's not completely healthy, play Vick Thursday.  Let em heal up more.

If we don't blow EMU out of the water next week, I'm calling a boycott of the BGSU game (senior night/blackout.)

I say this in jest.  However, I wouldn't doubt there being a small(ish) crowd for this next game.

It was great to see Coach go out and give Tyler a hug after the game as he was walking off the field.  True leadership.

I would guess there'll be more than the 13,158 that BGSUcks claims were in the stands for their game vs. EMU today.

To the Ohio Bobcat Football Team:

It was a tough loss, however, keep your heads up and beat EMU!!!!  In my eyes, ya'll are still the best TEAM in the MAC and everyone, including Kent State has to come through OhioU.

GO BOBCATS!!!!

I agree to all.  It's has been and still continues to be a fun ride.  I never thought I'd see my Bobcats ranked in the top 25.  I'm so proud of our team.  Let's push to a strong rest of the season!!!!

We still control our destiny, and perhaps another shot at the top 25 if we beat KSU and UT in the MACC.  Hey, The Optimist, I'm channeling you.

Again, a slow start and this time it cost us.  I gotta believe other than the last drive, Miami had very little the second half.  On the other hand, we had the ball once on the 25 with a first down and had: a 15 yard slap to the face, a hold and a sack to take us back to midfield.  Zero points!

One final comment:  why do we continue to put safeties on wide receivers?  The one long play in the first half we had a safety on Harwell and  he blew right by the.  In this case the safety was on probably the best receiver in the MAC and one of the tops in the nation.  Definitely a blown coverage but we need to go to more 3 linemen alignments with an extra DB or Backer.  I think we actually did that in the second half and we put a backer on Harwell with the safety covering over the top.  That worked out much better.

Well said. Oh, coach Solich, please to coach Albin, the conservative calling that averages 36 per game vs yesterday's with six sacks, well he knows, let him go back to his old self.

Kent controls their own destiny
Miami controls their own destiny
BG controls their own destiny

We do not... If Miami and us win out - we don't go to Detroit

Agreed on the crowd.

The end of the Miami game was a disaster, and I blame the coaching staff. You MUST TELL TETTLETON AND THE ENTIRE OFFENSE YOU HAVE NO TIMEOUTS LEFT!

That game should have, at worst, gone to overtime.

mhs....Our kids knew that we had no timeouts.  A mistake was made by our All-MAC quarterback, who has owned up to his mistake.  He was trying to make a play, win the game.  We all know that he should have thrown the ball away after his first looks at his targets if covered, and believe me, T.T. knows that also.  Great drive down the field in 56 seconds with no time-outs.  Bad decision to try to scramble, but mistakes are made at all levels !
Tyler is a class kid, he is the best at his position that we have had for a long time...arguably  our best ever....and I am still glad he is leading our team!  One mistake does not change my opinion of this young man!  Football is all about getting knocked on your ass and then having enough heart and courage to jump back up and go at it again.  Tyler will bounce back up, and he will bring the Bobcats with him.  Surely if our team can get back up, our fan base can and will do the same thing!   Four difficult games ahead.  Four chances to show what you got !!
"Stand up and Cheer !"
