We just out-executed them all night and wore them down. This play goes to show you how physical the game is and it's impact. I saw trainers working on Poole twice during the game -- once was something to do with his neck. And, in the fourth quarter, it looked like he was feeling the effects of a shoulder stinger. It was hard for him to move his left arm. They looked at that, too. Dude still played. I respect his toughness. I was worried about the same thing. Futrell does have the advantage that the shoulders have protection, while in Poole's case there is no padding over the sternum, where he took the shot. On the other hand, as we've seen this year, shoulder injuries are a definite risk, while most shots to the sternum will just knock the wind out of you. I imagine both have some soreness today, but hopefully neither has any serious ramifications. Futrell is probably OK because only 1-2 plays later he was returning a punt.
