Against Penn State, we played at a pretty fast pace from late 2nd quarter thru most of the second half.

I understand that we might not yet have the depth on O to offer that up for 60 minutes.  But I'm disappointed we haven't tried that more often this year.  Certainly should've been tried last Saturday.

[Note there is a distinction between hurrying to the line of scrimmage and getting the snap off quickly.  I'm talking about snapping it quickly here.]

I have noticed the hurry up slowin' down and waiting for the snap a lot too - several times last Saturday. I keep assuming it's TT seeing something in the D, making adjustment, but what would that be if it ends up RB up and into the middle?

maker ( Let's not rely on the last 5 minutes of the 4th Qtr for a change.)

I'll tell ya where we'll go. Someplace warm. A place where the beer flows like wine. Where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano. I'm talkin' bout a little place called... ATHENS.

Got word that the hurry up was partial shelved due to the OL situation. Makes sense.

In the few instances where it was working to our advantage last night, there were a few well timed "injuries" on Eastern's part.  Most of which appeared to be upper body but for some reason required a trainer assist off the field.

I thought that I saw the whole game last night and I don't recall but maybe one time--if that--that we got to the line of scrimmage quickly and snapped it right away.

We don't have to do this all the time.  But I simply cannot fathom why we don't do it occasionally...to try to get the other side off balance, to get them unprepared.  For instance, when our O wasn't doing much last Saturday....

Yes, it does appear that our pace is slower than last year.
I would be curious as to why?

I would imagine it's an effort to protect our own injury stricken and very young Defense...

The great thing about no huddle is you can still dictate opposing desense personel even when you want to eat up clock.

Everyone does that (gets to line quick to catch the D out of posn/personnel).  It's not...O-regon...the same thing as snapping it quick.  I believe that we turned it on vs. Penn State when we turned it up.

That.
