Congrats on a gutsy win. Sometimes the sight of vultures circling lights a fire.

You don't have Zach Butler get back on D and block a shot with seconds left after missing a free throw if you've lost your team. You don't become just the second team to win at Ypsilanti this season if you've lost your team.

The concerns about athleticism, depth, injuries, adjustments and overreliance on the 3 are legit - that doesn't go away. The concerns about Convo gameday experience and student support don't either. But a game like this, for my money, says SP can motivate and game plan. And, perhaps more importantly, this team has a soul.

The coach is a classy guy, as far as I can tell from watching and meeting him, and right now is when he might really need our support. To withdraw it now would not be good.

Nice job!

I have long suffered from what I call "Eastern sucks at the sports anybody really cares about" Syndrome but it's just not true anymore.

Today was a good win over a very solid opponent who has defended its home court very well this season. Victories aren't handed out like they were when the O-Zone was a thing.

Was an encouraging site/response from what happened on Tuesday night.

Agreed. Good post.

Things aren't rosy. There are very real issues/causes for concern. This team still isn't great (obviously) and will still struggle this year.

BUT - it was a good road win, and even more impressive response to adversity. SP deserves the shot to try and turn this around.

from Dartis' comments in the post game show it sounds like upperclass guys are starting to lead. Exceptional timing.

Agree with everything good and bad you say here. It was an impressive performance against a quality team.

Details are hazy for me.....

Was it not Larry Hunter who had all of the last names of the player jerseys covered up with white/green cloth after a poor performance?

I have the 2000-2001 season in my head? I felt like it had some positive impact?

Not trying to draw any kind of comparisons here-just had a flashback to that event and can't remember everything.

If something was said behind closed doors by someone the players respect (coach, fellow teammate etc.) about stepping up it worked today!

Question for long time fans? If this team finds a way to grab 17 wins, would they get an invite to the CIT/CBI? I realize four of the wins are over Ala. AM, Prairie View, Coppin and NWOH, but would Ohio accept a bid to one of those post season tourneys if they get an offer? My best guess would be yes, but they refused to participate last season.

If it can happen financially etc. I say go for it if the invitation is extended. The more games anyone who will be back in 18-19 can play for live experience in my humble opinion can only help the team long-term

I think it would be dependent on the health of the team.

I believe the coach was Billy Hahn.

More minutes for Butler please! The freshman guards are maturing and are an upgrade from some upper classmen.

Keep yelling that. We did not get the message the first 31 times. Maybe he is an acquired taste and is working hard while patiently waiting his turn. No worries he'll earn it and when he does and his number is called he will need to be ready
