Absolutely love DJ. He handled the questions great. Absolutely DISLIKE the interviewer. I understand he is just a kid but there is nothing more insulting to an athlete than working your ass off, going through the recruiting process, proudly selecting a college, then hearing about "how the high majors didn't come calling", like its some disappointment he's in Athens. We aren't Ohio Presbyterian JC, we're a solid D1 program. Another genius quote: "He went to Ohio, and we didnt hear about him". Do some research and even if you didnt don't admit that. And Enough about the "High Majors". Nice touch with gatorade bottle while doing an interview. This kid just irks me.

Keep up the good work DJ you can flat out play.

mollautt,

You need to update your list of Miami football accomplishments:

2008:  2-10

2009:  1-11

bcat28, i am not as bothered by the line of questioning you mentioned.  remember, the kid doing the interviewing isn't the only one wondering why more, shall we say, well known programs weren't interested in DJ.  There is a certain coach at Tennessee who saw the Georgetown game and then asked these "Pearls":

Who is this kid?
Where did he come from?
Why didn't WE know about him?

Coop is only 5' 9" now? I thought growth spurts went the other direction, what are they putting in the food over there at Boyd Dining Hall?

The vid said 5.5 rpg.  That seems about right from what I remember.  Now, figure he is the 5'9, 165 that the interview states.  Must be some quicks and some court sense there.

Where's the band?!

As an FYI, this guy (Dan P.) has an interview with our newest Bobcat Stevie Taylor too... A little dated but, still interesting.

I'll put it on Stevie's side too...

I think he did a better job interviewing Stevie than DJ.

It's not true that Cooper dind't get any attention from high majors.  Baylor and Cal looked at him seriously.
