Washington was sitting in the middle of the bench in a tie/hoodie combo. He could be injured or he could be serving some time for his disorderly conduct charge from the spring. What info do you have?

We can't afford to have players screw up this year. We are thin due to the departures of Alex Kellogg, Coleman and Bassett allready. Every game matters if we are on the bubble. We don't have a real difficult schedule, but playing with less than a full deck makes some of those games a risk of an upset. Washington is critical to the success of this team. He has to be there for us every nite. because asking Baltic, Keely and Jacobs to handle the load is a bit much to ask.

So it's three games and it's due to "spring problems" or class attendance? A clarification would be appreciated. If it's because of a class attendance problem, given his previous issues, I'd be for kicking him off the team right now. I don't have a lot of patience for students that don't attend classes. I really like the way Washington plays, and I'd hate to not have him on the team, but I don't want to have a team that reminds me of UNLV or some similar "outlaw" school. I just hope it's not a class attendance issue.

It's not a class issue. Jason Arkley's twitter says the suspension is a result of his disorderly conduct violation from the spring. Apparently he is doing very well in practice and actually broke Jerome Tillman's squat record. I'm not worried about Devaughn.

Do the exhibition games count as 2 of the 3 games suspended? If so, he'd only miss 1 regular season game..correct?

Correct. The only real game he'll miss is Delaware.

this is old news everyone knew Devaughn was sitting 3 games. He is a great kid who has grown since attending college seems like some people want to throw him under the bus like stevie fresh. Who btw is doing really well for himself and back in school. Devaughn will be fine he has been one of the hardest workers when I have seen him and with the addtion of a sweet mid range jump shot he has pro potential for sure!

Which school?

Also, please note Blitz said Pro potential, not NBA potential. If he plays like he did towards the end of last year, there is no doubt he'll get a shot in Europe.

You're right. He was wrong. He shouldn't have said potential. He would have received a shot somewhere overseas if he left early like Bassett did last season.

not to dump on the guy but if you walk away from a full scholarship in August for a music career and are "back in school" a month later then "doing really well for yourself" is a subjective term. but I digress.

Well that makes one of us. We cannot afford to lose Devaughn for any more than the first game. He has a ton of talent and is a necessary and vital part of this team. The sky is the limit for Devo, as long as he follows the rules (and laws). I'm a huge supporter of his and would love to see him flourish in his senior year.
