Don't know if any of you have seen the new in Oregon, but they are getting a new basketball floor too...quite elaborate.
Nike changes their uniforms and now tries their hand on designing the court graphics.

I personally like it. Just as I like Temple and their Owls I like it. The video accompanying this piece is thoughtful and conveys the ideas of the designer. As an opposing team I would hate to come into that arena and play. The fact that he gives tribute to the only championship team they have had, the "Tall Firs" sold me. Anyone who remembers and pays Homage to the history and fabric of the game is Aces in my book.

Sorry, too much.  While not as bad as Boise's blue field it makes my eyes bleed.

I know I'll get shot for this comment, but....

While I don't much care for that basketball floor, I do wish OHIO took Oregon's lead and were more creative with the uniforms.  I think I would prefer the more hipp hoops/football uniforms (ala Oregon) as compared to the traditional Penn State type look.

It would also be nice to have the Co-founder of the most recognized sports brand in the world as an alumnus.  Oregon is essentially the testing grounds for anything new when it comes to Nike.  Ohio will never receive that kind of attention unless a grad develops the next big thing in sports apparel and decides they want to donate to the school.  Companies just don't spend that much time designing uniforms for the schools that have the lesser sponsorship contracts.  Usually we just end up with one of the companies stock designs that many different teams use.  Oregon most likely has a part of Nike dedicated specifically for them (designers, r&d, etc).  No one else gets that sort of treatment, aside from maybe UNC with the Jordan Brand.

From the photo that big center part looks white, am I mistaken on that?  If so an un-intended consequence could be very poor TV quality.

Can someone put up a visual of what a real basketball floor looks like?  Hint:  it's got a big Attack Cat front and center.

Not to throw water on the fire but to those of us who were born across the river this is what a proper floor looks like (and a right nice "Madness" too!)
