IUPUI got some media attention for playing Ohio State so close and because of what Sullinger did in the game. They talked about it on Mike and Mike and Greenberg mentioned another SportsCenter anchor was doing an interview with an IUPUI coach one time when they made the NCAA tournament and the coach said something like, "You probably don't even know what IUPUI stands for" because they get so little respect. The guy didn't, but lucky for him, a producer told him in his earpiece.

Ron Hunter is awesome.  Great guy.

I saw some positive things at ISU.  If they happen again Sunday, I'll be pretty optimistic and ready to explain.

It's been hard to know what to expect from game to game so far. I hope that's a trend which will end soon.

Will there be online video for this game?  Right now there's only a link to listen.

What ? Was? That?

From up seven to complete defensive breakdown to let them get wide open three's and no earthly idea on offense. They only are going to score into the 60s, but defensive effort wasn't close to being good enough.

Post players can't finish. D.J. disappeared. No one stepped up in his absence.

This team's strength I thought this season was having enough scoring options that Cooper didn't have to score 29 on a gamely basis in order for it to win.

Shows what I know.

Snow is/was no issue in Athens.  It's called Sunday basketball.  Bah humbug!  And just think, we have two more of these games in early January.

I think "December basketball" has a lot more to do with it than Sunday.

Not real sure I thought you knew much in the first place after I followed your posts last year. What do you know?  How often do you see the team in person?

Not sure why people really have much to complain about. Everybody acts like we should have this great program when only 3K show up. Dayton last winter, under much worse conditions, turned out 13K while down the road on the same night X with the Crosstown closed with glare ice put up close to 10K. It does not matter whether it is Sunday, December, Break, Appalachia there is always an excuse. Look in the mirror, you want a big time program, put up. Till then,

1. I don't buy any of the lack of attendence "excuses" ("Sunday", "December") - I made the over hour drive from Columbus. Will Wednesday too - what will the excuse be then - "games on the 15th of the month"?
2. Per "D2" - looks to me maybe we should - our fan base sure looks to be "D2"........

I give a sh** if you are on my lawn, especially in its ever dissapearing under white stuff present form.

I have read your stuff for some time. Seems the longer you spend at that sports job the less you make sense.

Now that you employ that journalistic tool, Sarcasm, in a post you are going to turn it on me. For as long as I have been here you have always portended to be very smart about everything from the psyche of college athletes and what drives them to the finances of NCAA member organizations and a variety of other things. I am not fooled. Show up somewhere other than the token appearance at BUGS.

Now quit making snow angels and tracking up my virgin snow till you actually support with your money and your presence.

Sure, but as before I completely fail to understand why we would elect to compete with the NFL by scheduling Sunday games in November-December-January, unless absolutely, positively necessary.  I'm not saying it was the difference between 3,500 and 7,000, but I would guess we'd have had at least another 300-500 fans had the game been played 24 hours earlier.  For an athletics department in our position, every dollar (and thus ticket sold) should count.
