Come on down!!  To all the Washington DC area Ohio students on break, this is a great opportunity to meet and network with Washington DC area alums!  See you at Brion's Grille across the street from Patriot Center prior to the game.  Tommy Freeman's Dad gave Brion's Grille a thumbs up when the Men's team played at George Mason two years ago!  Parents of the Women's team are encouraged to join us there.  GO BOBCATS!!

Coach Randall will be joining us between 12:15 - 12:30 PM at Brion's Grill before the game.  So prior to the game drop in at Brion's -- it is right across the street from the entrance to George Mason on Braddock Road.  It is located in the University Mall!  Tickets to the game are inexpensive, seats will be good, and the Bobcat women need our support!!!

Thanks to everyone that came out to watch the Ohio Women play George Mason, and to Coach Randall for meeting with the fans at our pre-game gathering!

My first comment about the game is about the George Mason band.  I am so glad that I went to a University with a Professional Band...  Their band is an embarrassment to good bands everywhere.  They had a drum set on a platform for their percussion section and two electric guitars.  They dressed in basketball jerseys, and their band leader looked like a cross between and Mardi Gras parade leader and a pimp.  I should have taken a picture to show everyone on here.  If you were at the Men's game against Mason you would have seen the same thing then.  The band read all their music off sheets on the stands in front of them, and they yelled classless things during the game at players, referees and our fans.  Their fight song also sounded somewhat similar to Yankee Doodle Dandy, which they played maybe twice during the entire game.

The things about our team that were the most glaring about our team during the game were that we need a bigger low-post player.  GMU's 6-4 (230 lb) center took the ball at will to the backboard against us, and we had very few post-up plays where we passed the ball into the lane.  It was mostly players just flashing through the lane.  The scorebook says that we had more rebounds than GMU and outscored them in the paint, but it sure didn't look like it to the naked eye, but we were outshot by them percentage wise and in total shots.  GMU shot much better from the outside than Ohio and had a lot of easy putbacks and 2nd chance points.
