Look at our MAC losses at HOME, Free Throws. Sure we don't have the "need to win instinct", no true leader on the floor, bad mistakes during the last three minutes, but free throws on your home court???. We make half in any of those games and we win.
Disagree vehemently. Everybody's grousing about today but there's very little detailed analysis here. It ain't about free-throws. I stand by my suggestions that 1) since we make no effort at posting anyone up inside the defense doesn't have to defend inside and, so, can use five guys to defend the rest of the court--so getting open outside shots is tough for us, 2) kinda a result of the first point, I'm curious as to what % of our shots come from our lead scorers vs the % of the opposition's shots which come from their lead scorers (that is, seems they get the shots they want and we don't), and 3) we defend too much stuff which can't lead to scores by the other side (too much defending at 24 + feet (espec of non-shooters), no interior defense, and poor defense against good 3-point shooters. 4) Also, we don't screen well (no particular intent or thought about how to do it and what we need to accomplish via the screens we set).
