Of course that was also bad weather in Athens that delayed the team leaving and thus postponed the game by a day because there was no deicing fluid at the Athens airport. How an airport in Ohio doesn't have deicing fluid was and is baffling to me. Thats the largest plane unless they fly the DC-3. Which they dont. And the King air is kept in a hanger so it would not need deicing. so I dont think thats why they were delayed. Also KUNI does not carry large amounts of deicing because university planes are kept in a hanger. So most of the time it is not needed. Couldn't and instead drove the hour and a half to fly out of Charleston to Mt. Pleasant. There were times they flew out of Parkersburg but there have also been a couple of times they flew out of Athens as well.
