Maybe it's just me.

There's an obvious transition when one goes from an assistant to head coach.

An assistant does a lot of stuff like this:

They just gotta sit there while a head coach does this:

So when you become a head coach there's a lot of this:

And this:

And this:

And this:

And there should be.

But there also needs to be this:

And this:

And this:

And maybe a stretch, but even this:

It's a balancing act. And I've never been a coach. Hell, never played at a level in which I was being coached. So I can't pretend to know.

But I can say that something doesn't feel quite right. And I can wonder aloud whether balance is a part of it.

And if we were to find the balance, I wouldn't be surprised to see this:

I'm not even going to think about all the copyright laws I've just broken.

Brilliant post Pete, and could not agree more.  I've tried to stay pretty quiet since my post Temple feedback of perceiving JG hitting the whip too much and having apparently lost the team, and I still hold that opinion.  We aren't seeing enough balance on leadership style or personnel deployment, and we have seen in the last several games what opposing defenses can do when they eliminate our best option on O.

Regardless of the level of talent on the floor beyond DJ, if the remainder of the team is not given an opportunity to prove their worth to the coaching staff, the fanbase and the University as a whole, you are going to lose the team; will lose their confidence and trust.  Young men want to excel and show their worth, and they need to be provided that opportunity, otherwise I think it would be foolish to think they would be geeked up to hit the floor.

The Few, The Proud, The Bobcats!

And for the record, I hate tOSU, and Ricordati and Torgerson are DB's.
