Russ Einstein has a few phrases he repeats in every game. The one I dislike the most is "This team is not very good from 3 point territory.  Today they are shooting nearly 50%."

This topic comes up in many threads.  I would like to have some analysis of what is causing this and what can be done about it.  For some reason I cannot pinpoint the problem and therefore cannot pinpoint a solution (other than the general idea of playing better defense).

What are we doing or not doing to give so many open looks?  How about some discussion and not just bashing.

Is it really as bad as it seems or are we just too critical?
Are we too slow?
Do we not talk enough on defense?
Do we double up too much?
Are we lazy?
Does  it make a difference who is in the game when threes are being made?
Do they come mostly from any one place on the floor?

The 1979-80 Read Hall Broomball team played better perimeter defense than this squad, and we went winless in eight games. Of course, we were drunk.

I have to say SBH, that a proud group from the Pickering and Crawford RA staffs delivered one of those 8 losses that you guys suffered and only the women on  our team were feeling the effects.
