Would we be a top 25 team if we still had Bassett, Coleman, A. Kellog, Marquis Horne, and who was the recruit who never showed up with Devaugn washington out of Baltimore area??  That is a lot of quality MAC talent we are missing....

No

Not sure who the recruit from Baltimore is but you might be referring to Maurice Pearson (DC area) and he certainly showed up. He was redshirted and then kicked out of school for the infamous airsoft gun incident.  You can never tell how a team will perform with different pieces together.  Most of this team's weaknesses earlier in the year had nothing to do with the losses of Coleman and Bassett. They certainly would have helped some of our offensive funks but I doubt they would have helped our early season rebounding and interior defense issues.

What if the world was flat?

What if I bought the winning lottery ticket?

What if you had been born the opposite sex?

I know you are not a frequent visitor but why look back in the rear view or make weird postulations when the future is so bright and things are working well? It is what it is.

Let me see. There would still be drugs, fights and academic issues as well as in locker room issues no one knows about. The program would still not be moving forward in a direction we OU faithful would be proud of, speaking of which, kudos to BYU for standing for something.

Really?  I know Davies knew the rules when he signed on at BYU but getting the boot for sleeping with your girlfriend is a bit much. Can you imagine if he had a cup of coffee as his post-coital beverage? Oh, the humanity!!!

I dont disagree with you on the point but I do admire BYU and their student judiciaries and peer reviews for holding fast to what they all signed up for. If they do not they cheapen their owh degrees. If we admitted to Ohio the students Kent and BG get into school just because they are athletes that would also cheapen OUr degrees. If we let athletes graduate by arranging internships that are not meaningful or let them break rules and look the other way to keep them eligible it reflects on how people percieve OUr degrees. There is humor in Can't Read, Can't Write... but in every bit of humor is a dose of reality.

They sign up knowing the rules and the consequences. Were more of us as parents and educators as stringent we would not be in some of the mess we are in.
