I'd root pretty hard for Buffalo.  A Miami win eliminates any possibility of us grabbing the 3 seed.  The only way that a Buffalo win would be bad for us is if we lose to Miami, Buffalo beats BGSU, and Akron wins at Kent, in which case we'd finish 7th rather than 6th.  Given the small likelihood of all of that happening, go Bulls!

No ONN for Friday's game? Wouldn't mind catching this game on TV, even with Wally doing the color commentating.

Wally's too busy dealing with LeBron.

Wally supported LBJ on the Really Big Show December 2nd.     Not that I didn't have enough reasons to hate him to began with.

I've seen crazier things happen.

Are we for real or was Akron just one of those magical nights?  Are Devo/Baltic/Keely in good enough shape to repeate Tuesday's performance?  Can Cooper nail 7 threes if Miami shuts down Freeman/Kellog like he did vs. Akron?  Some questions to ponder.

No question about this:  Muck Fiami.

Akron has a good defense and Miami does not.  In fact, their defense sucks.  One of the worst in the conference and in the bottom 30 nationally.  They don't hang on to the ball and they don't turn opponents over.  How are they 10-5?  I have no idea and think they're in for a fall.  We're catching them at the right time; they're about to regress to the mean.

Our offense is better.  Our defense is better.  The only place they have us is rebounding.  If we can draw even on the boards, we'll win without much problem.

Jeff, how's their rebounding since Ballard went down? I've seen two Miami games in person this year: against us and at Ohio State. Both games it looked like Ballard was the only guy totally committed to rebounding.

Ballard has certainly hurt them, and Buffalo dominated them in the glass last night, but they're still winning the rebounding battle more often than not.

Our rebounding has been one of the huge factors to our improved play.  We were outrebounded by every East opponent in the first run through the division to a total of -25.  Since then we are +30 including +15 against the East the second time around.  Fiami gave us the worst board beat down 50-32.

Is there really no video feed for this game?  If so, that really stinks...

Miami is anti-video feed.  The AD thinks it's a bad idea, would discourage people from coming to games.  Insert your own attendance joke here.

I wonder what the spread will be for this game? I'm thinking Miami by 1-3 points.

I've been wondering about the point spread as well.  Sagain has Miami as a 1.5 point favorite, while Ken Pomeroy favors Miami by 1 point.  I would guess we'll be anywhere from even to a 2 point underdog.

Edit: I now see there is an early line out placing Miami as a 1 point favorite.  Kent is favored by 3.5 over Akron, for what it's worth.

I'd put money down on any spread that doesn't have us winning.
