Someone said Bobcat Essentials in the thread I started about this, but that turned out not to be the case.  I'm just gunna ask someone when I see one next.

Like you David, I've been asking the same thing.  I emailed College Bookstore and they said they would look into it.  That was about mid-December.   Haven't seen anything yet.  So, I will continue to wear my Dustin Ford jersey to the games and tourneys and pick-up games.

http://www.oldschooljersey.com/

If you have a little extra money and are willing to wait, this site is probably your best bet. If you can give them a couple pictures of the jersey you have in mind, they'll make a custom model for you. I wanted an '05 Leon Williams, and got an estimate for one with stitched-on numbers for about $100 about a year and a half ago.

I didn't have the coin to pull the trigger on it at the time so I can't really vouch for the quality personally. But they're endorsed by Paul Lukas' UniWatch blog, which is about as good an authority on sports uniforms as you'll ever find.

So I just got off the phone with a Russell guy and I was talking to him about the item number I found for the actual jerseys the team orders.  The problem is A) They only make custom jersey's seasonally when they can buy the fabric in bulk etc. so we may not be able to order til after the season is over and B) We will need to order them in quantities no less than 6, all with the same number but can be different sizes.  Who would be interested in joining in on this and what number would you like?  The rep approximated about 70 bucks a jersey.

I would be 100% in on buying a stitched jersey from russel for $70-80. PM me if this goes down. The numbers I would be interested in, in order: 5, 0, 33.

I, too, would absolutely be in for this. Tell me where to send the check, and I'm down.

I was going to explore that old school jersey website, but I would throw down for this. I suggest #5, for DJ and Leon.

That jersey really looks nice. Although, I think the numbers are in the wrong font. Anyway, does anyone know when OUr deal with Russell expires?

Anyone happen to have some good pictures of the some of the retro jerseys?  In particular I'm looking for the one's we wore with the script Ohio, but any of the other jerseys would be helpful as well.  I'm thinking about going the route of www.oldschooljersey.com but I haven't been able to find many good pictures of those jerseys.  Any help would be appreciated.  If I end up ordering one, I'll be sure to post pictures and let you know how it came out.  Thanks.

Decent looking jersey, but what year's model is that supposed to be? The trim and the numbers don't look anything like this year's jerseys.

I'm a little less excited about this than I was before seeing that picture.

I was wondering the same thing.  It seems as if we have been with Russell for a few years now and I'd think that license agreement would be expiring soon.  I would hate to shell out $80 and then have OU land a very different uniform look for next year.  With the success of our teams the past few years I'd think we'd have a better chance to land with one of the bigger companies.   I'd love to see us go back to Addidas or even Nike.  Can anyone remember how long OUr agreement wiht Russell was supposed to be?

"Ohio Athletics' partnership with Russell is a win-win for everyone associated with the Ohio Athletic family," said Ohio Director of Athletics Kirby Hocutt. "Our coaches and teams have been very pleased with Russell apparel and our fans will be pleased with the quality and availability of Russell merchandise.

Yeah.  That's why we're having this conversation, trying to find where we can buy jerseys.

If you don't like the deal, that's okay.  But if this quote is from our AD at the time that the deal was signed under his direction, do you really find it surprising that he praised the deal?  A little better analysis, if you would, please.

No, I don't find it surprising.  Just an interesting bit of information that I laughed at when I read it.  No analysis required, I know how everyone feels about Russell from reading the boards.  Sorry...I'll refrain.

As an update and to try to prevent this thread from being jacked to debate Russell....

I was supposed to hear back from the Russell guy today but didn't get a call.  If I don't hear from him by lunch tomorrow I'll try again and see what the story is.  It's just a little hard for me right now cuz I'm on the road all week.

Good to know it sounds like we have enough interest that meeting the min should be no problem.

Sorry to sound naive but what exactly are all of you guys going to do with these jerseys?
