who do we want to represent the MAC in the NCAA tournament? I think kent state is the only team that could do anything in the tournament. Akron would be the worse team to get in. Brett Mcknight would embarrass the MAC no doubt.

Kent is the only one that would get a 14 seed or better.

Hawkins can go to the CBI. It meant so much to him when he didn't get in the inagural tournament.

My vote is to abstain.

I'll be rooting for Ball State. But in my opinion Kent State won the MAC Tourney last night. Ohio was the team that could've played out of its ass and beat the Flashes.

IMO you have to root for kent. We need a good showing in the tourny and Kent is the only one who will be able to do that. If akron makes it I really think they will lose by 20 to whoever they play.

From 1990-1993 The Buffalo Bills played in 4 straight Super Bowls, and lost them all. Tonight Akron joins the Bills in the pantheon of patheticness with 4th championship loss in 5 straight.

The Buffalo Bills and the Akron Zips- two teams that were just 4 wins shy of going down in history as all time greats, but instead ended up on the list of epic fails.

Kent wins and I retain a sliver of satisfaction in knowing that a Bobcat lead them there.

MY STATE. MY TEAM.

- Doubtful Kent wins a game in the tournament.

- Akron won a championship.  Bills did not.

I always root for the Bobcat connection in games like these: Go Geno!  Go Flashes!   Not to mention that my wife claims to have "taught Geno all he knows" in her English class.  Also, Geno used to go to our church in Athens. So, we've got lots of reasons to root for Geno.  I still hope that sometime in the future we could get him back to Ohio.

I think Kent, depending on seeding and bracket, could win a game or two.

One editorial comment, I suspect that if Kent has a 9-point lead with 2:30 to go in the game that they "run some clock" before they put up questionable shots, and -- as a result -- they win rather than lose.  (Note: As i write this Akron is leading KSU by 2 at half.)

Once again, as someone stated in another topic. We did run the clock the last couple minutes we just did not make any shots. We wouldnt have a chance without cooper and everyone needs to lay off him a little bit. With him being are only big time play maker im sure he felt he had to do it himself, its over and done, and in 2 years coop will go down as one of the best to ever play at ohio. Enough said.

I don't know about that. Even with what my signature says, that was a fun finish and a decent game to watch.  I really despise both teams, so it didn't matter who won.

I was sort of disappointed by the lack of technical fouls, but that post-game skirmish made up for it.

Rooting for Akron is like cheering on the Taliban.

After seeing the KSU - UA game in which both teams deserved to lose, UA will represent / resemble the MAC to a T.

Is anyone counting the late game scuffles to see if they only happen with Akron? 2 for 3 in this tournament

We had one with BSU, and BSU/WMU also had one. Both with #2 BSU in the middle.

But typically I'd agree, that Akron seems to be a common denominator in altercations a lot of the time.

You could see this one coming...we give them a good old fashion but whipping and they put it together this week to win a Championship and NCAA berth.  I guess they get the last laugh...those time outs Dambrodt called the last two minutes in Athens obviously got the players attention.
