Could be worse but it was a very sloppy and foul filled 1st half, though I can't say how good or bad the officiating has been with the quality of this feed.  Speaking of the feed, so weird to hear the supposedly off air audio by their commentator, though I did hear that the posterizing dunk on Freeman is being sent to ESPN.  Really hope the team puts it together in the 2nd half, I really think we are the more talented team.

Really frustrating to watch Reggie and Ivo waste opportunity after opportunity around the rim, really hurting the Bobcats offensively.  Also doesn't help that DJ seems to have no touch either tonight and even Freeman seems to be a bit off on his 3s, basically Kellogg and Devo are carrying the team by themselves so far.

Nice to see DJ and Freeman finally getting a bit of a rhythm and hitting some shots.  Also nice to hear ETSU's commentator say Russ was one of the best commentator guys out there.

Bobcats just weren't able to do enough until it got late and weren't able to hit the clutch shots in the last 2 minutes.  Looked like DJ and Freeman were gonna help pull out the game, but then they both got cold again.  Lack of good D on Tubbs early and the inability to make a really long run to get some kind of lead did them in.

I have to disagree. After seeing OU for the first time last night all season, I came away more impressed with ETSU's athleticism than Ohio's. Maybe I saw a bad example, but the Bobcats looked unmotivated, inaccurate, and very weak on defense. We had no answer for their number 3 (Tubbs) and we could not slow down Mike Smith.  Add to that their beef in #44 J.C. Ward and Ohio REALLY struggled inside. ETSU took away Ohio's inside game, and our outside game was bad throughout, with the lone exception being when we snuck past ETSU for the brief lead.

I was surprised to see our guys picked off the dribble, including Cooper and I think Kellogg. I thought one or two of the fouls called on Baltic were questionable, putting him in foul trouble early. Without him, our inside D was even more suspect, and Smith continually diced it.

ETSU was big, fast and athletic. It took us some time to get used to their length.    Still we did a pretty good job hanging with them even though Tubbs was hitting shots out of his arse.    I've never seen so many 3s go in hitting that much rim.  Odd rims.  Mike Smith reminded me of Tim Pollitz.  We had a shot to win but I think overall they were the better team most of the night.  The difference was that they were strong enough around the rim to hit their shots.
