- We are a "REALLY bad" team.

- We don't have talent.

- We have no fans.

- 99% of Athens doesn't know we have a basketball team.

- It's the NIT's fault.

- Herrion is about as good as gone.

Dragon -  On behalf of the Bobcatattack nation, thank you for doing the research for us so we didn't have to spend any time reading TerdTalk.com.

If you go to the smack section (Thunder in the Mountains), WVU fans are killing them.  Funny stuff.

And now this dude is talking about Dennis and borna like they were innocent angels when they exchanged words with some Herd fans (and, oh, the irony of calling us "hilljacks").  Hey, dude, your friends look like Mike D'Antoni's fat cousins.  Look in the mirror.  Maybe there's a reason the cop threatened to throw you out.  Just a thought.

Wow.  Sounds like some things haven't changed in Herdistan.  Must have been really fun to walk out of there a winner.

Can somebody hit a pull up jumper for me?.....

It's like poking fun at my heritage since most of my relatives are from there....but W.Va. is famous for the Wrong Turn movies and this ditty:

Captured Alive (1995) Pat Morita, famous for starring in the series of films about the Karate Kid, stars in this amazing B-film. Passengers flying from Pittsburgh to Atlanta are shot down by a Civil War-era cannon, forced into becoming toxic waste slaves. It has the cheesiest shoot-out scene ever filmed – the same shot of the people shooting their guns is re-cycled over and over. Arrow Releasing made this film….and it may be the only copy ever released! Access: WVLC has one copy.

What is a toxic waste slave?

The excuse train is up and running.

1) It was 8 against 5 because the refs were on our side. - LOL is that why Marshall had to intentionally foul twice because we weren't even in the bonus at the end of the game?  14 fouls by Marshall with three of them intentional.

2) Marshall should never lose to a MAC team at home. EVER. - Ummmm, you did it for years and years. Why is now any different?

It is remarkable how delusional that fan base is.

I give them a little slack for delusion based off their recent wins.  We owned them for so long I have been struggling to cope with the Marshall losses the past couple years.  Hopefully last night is also an indication of this series tipping back in our favor more in the future.

They lost to a SoCon team (Appy State) in the second round of the CIT at home last season.

I was at the game.  Marshall did NOT get a bad whistle.  Numerous times we were hacked on shots in the lane and didn't get a call.  Good point about the number of team fouls.

I mean, they were only the 13 seed in their final MAC tournament...

After putting up withthe arsehole from Western Michigan 2 trips to Kzoo, the idot at Akron, the drunken frat pissants at Bradley and a few more memorable folks along the way I was not gonna listen to the crap that was coming out of those hicks mouths for an entire game. I beckoned to a cop before having to bail G's butt outta jail for sending a few wannabe's to the hospital.

THose inbreds are something. I keep taling to nice folks everywhere I go but I have yet to come across a nice....or even tolerable Turd.

I met a slightly challenged co ed at Ohio once that transferred to Marshall....raised the IQ of  both Universities.

Best thing that comes out of Huntington every night is an empty Greyhound. (Keep themPoodle F*^&ers down on the farm)

THe board is an a various form of meltdown over

1 ) why they should have not played, I bet if they would have won the tune would be different , but we have those fans here also who stillcontend we should not be here.

2) that the refs screwed them and that they always play 8 on 5.

3) That they should never lose to a MAC team (yet for years they did)

4) THat their lack of fans was the reason they lost. ( I was impressed that they got 4K out...much better than our alleged fanbase did for Brown)

5) that their team just chose to tank the game. (perhaps you should recruit guys who really love the game and wnat to win at anything from Tiddlywinks to life)

One fellow wnet so far as to predict that our fans would post how rude their fans are....DOH! That is a no brainer. Talk about Spin doctors....get on it before someone notices and head off the obvious.

Russ asked me what games I had missed over 4 years. Marshall was one of them. Safe to say that after I cleaned all the Bison shi@t off my car and shoes I will not be back to that peice of crap. I always thought if America needed an enema God would stick it in Birmingham....how the hell did CUSA find and alternate site.

This CHARGE is for the beotches in the 4 row Sec 103....enjoy.

never argue with idiots, they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Winter comes and asks how you spent your summer.....

The game loves and rewards those who love and reward the game

When in God's name is an official or the NCAA or someone going to take care of the asshat Marshall fan who keeps whistling?  I've never seen anything so classless in my life.  They did it in the Bowl game and they did it all night last night.  A technical needs to be called if this crap continues... The Marshall administration obviously knows about it, but they aren't doing a damn thing to stop it.

You can hear it clearly in the highlights on OhioBobcats.com at the 4:00 mark when Reggie goes up for a layup...

My 2 cents,     Sat there and took it for ummmm lets see,  15 seconds,  Minded my own business untl the cussing and heckling the Ohio Players started, then all hell broke loose,  You know,  pick on me all you want but, your not gonna pick on any of my players, When they said that Tommy effin sucks to him, as he came to the bench, that was the straw that broke the camels back. I simply told the guy if he didn't shut his mouth, we we're gonna have a major problem, next thing I know a Marshall cop got up out of his chair and came calling on me and I just told him that I wasn't gonna sit there and take the cussing and the BS. Borna said something to the cop and then the cop went to the 4 cussing hecklers and never heard another peep from them the rest of the game.  I told the one heckler to show some class, then I said oh wait you are !   But Ohio got the last laugh and so did I.

Marshall Players thought they had this game won before it started, goofing around in warm ups and laughing and joking, shooting trick shots during warm ups,   Very proud of OUr guys for showing class in our win over Marshall.

All Marshall fans are not bad, had a few come up after the game to wish us good luck, thats class right there and something the other Herd fans could learn from.  But I guess there's Good and Bad fans where ever you go.

Good stuff.......reminds me of a Star Trek episode where the Enterprise crew and some Klingons are at a bar......sounds like a joke huh....Scotty takes insults about crew and captain but then punches a Klingon when he calls The Enterprise a hunk of junk.

G-man and Borna are indeed excellent ambassadors of Bobcat b-ball.

- This loss killed any upward momentum the program had, as well as any goodwill the team developed with fans.

Reeding iz phun!

About 25 years ago or so my wife and I decided to take in an Ohio Bobcat vs. Marshall game at Marshall. We ended up with tickets apart from where the Ohio fan base was located. As the game progressed, Ohio jumped into a small lead and like any Bobcat fan, I loudly cheered every basket and steal our team did oblivious  to the fact we were surrounded by Marshall fans. As I cheered to show my support for another Ohio dunk, three good-old-boy types sitting in back of us tapped me on my shoulder and said, "if you can't shutup, we will shut you up. Just try us." With my wife being there, I decided descretion was the greater part of valor and cheered no more for the rest of the game. I have attended games in many other MAC venues over the years. Only at Marshal did I encounter fan behavior like this. So when I read that it happened to others last night, I was not surprised. Oh, for you Marshall fans trolling the board: Twice I have attended football games at WVU and had very polite interactions with fans there.

An important point that many on this board are in total denial about.

Are they some crummy Marshall fans?  Yes.  But, I've run into bad behavior from fans in a number of venues.  Also, I do think all the hillbilly ad hominem attacks are a little over the top.  My Southeastern Ohio ancestors were a bunch of hilljacks, too.  Some hillbillies are the nicest, kindest, most generous folks you'll ever meet.  Lumping people together based on their place of residence is a form of prejudice -- unless you're talking about Oxford, Ohio, and then it's simply observable fact.

I have to agree with OCF on this point.

I still wonder if Marshall's athletics dept. isn't behind it somehow.  At the Pizza Bowl, it seemed like their players expected it; they kept playing while our guys let up for a second.  It would be interesting if The Whistle is a regular feature at Marshall games.
