It explains itself.
Maryland has a head coach position open.
Henceforth, Tim O'shea to Maryland.

Rooting for Akron is like cheering on the Taliban.

Word around DC is they are looking at Mike Brey.  He grew up in the area (about 2 minutes away from my house).

OK, I see.  Somehow I was trying to read too much into this with the reference to beating Jeff to the punch.  I was looking for some kind of an inside joke rather than the usual "TOS to" post.  Maryland is certainly an East Coast school so it fits the genre of "TOS to" jokes.

Trivia Question: Do you know the connection that Gary Williams has tangentially to the firing of Earle Bruce?   It was a very seamy story.  This is a saga that may soon be eclipsed at A&M with the ongoing Tatto-gate revelations which now seem to be morphing into auto-gate and booster-gate.

I would say Arizona's a better job.

I would agree. I heard his family didn't like life in Arizona, but that was probably just a rumor.

One of my sources close to Sean said if he remained in Arizona his wife would file divorce papers the day after he signed his extension. She wants to get back east he assured me.

That's a nice hire, particularly this late in the game.

Apparently he's holding out until the coveted Bryant job is open.

Last  year TOS made some good strides as the team is now in a D1 program. I think they won 10 games + 9 over the year before.
If he can continue to improve the W-L record to where they can put 2 winning seasons together and win their conference tournamant to gain an NCAA birth he will jump at the next better opportunity. And we all know that there are better jobs opening every year.

True, but only if the job is east of Buffalo.  You won't see this dude applying for any Midwest or West Coast jobs, unless I'm sorrily mistaken.

The coach I remember won't have to worry about that.
