I know Ohio will not have any trouble with them but I was still expecting a lot more  then what I saw. Guard play is still outstanding for a d3 school but they were outplayed at times inside against one of the worst d3 programs and they were pushed to the limit and the result was in question until late. Denison was able to get as close as 1 once and 2 on another occasion late in the game. Maybe it is was just first game problems that a lot of teams have but if they play that way against the cats, well it will not be pretty. #6 ranking sure didn't look justified last night, maybe that will change once the kinks are worked out. Living in and being an alumni of Marietta College, I saw every game last year and follow this team religiously. I didn't think they played any where near their potential. I think it's more of working out the kinks for the first game. They are also missing their best player, Trevor Halter, who just had back surgery and is expected to be out 3-7 weeks depending on how he responds to the surgery. With that said, I don't think Marietta can hang with Ohio. But I also think they are a lot better than what you saw last night and when the season is done, I think this Denison win will hold up. They are a much improved ball club from last year. GO BOBCATS! Honestly, is there any way to suit up Ted, Carey, Coleman, McKinney, and maybe President Ping for this one? Thank you.  I'm much more proud of my weak attempts to hang with the City League boys after learning this.  I was in over my head. Seriously, the basketball skill continuum is not that broad.  Have to take everyone seriously at least until you don't.  Save the press clippings for the post game, please. P.S. top level d3 ball is a lot better then people think, not to mention unlike the players at many d1 schools they actually have to be real students.
