OUr programs are growing; I don’t think anyone can deny that. The basketball program has made steps, football is getting consistent and having great seasons, and the volleyball program is great even outside of the MAC.
Football: Winning MAC championships 3 of the 6 years, and improving the program every year, and really establishing a “base” the last 6 or so years. Frank has improved the program tremendously with what he has done, and seems like we have been going bowling a lot lately..that first bowl win will come soon, especially with Tettleton, this kid is for real, if he was taller he might be in line to be taking snaps at a top 25 school. We did just have Taylor Price get drafted (2nd round i believe) before anyone from the school in Columbus, and i see Brazill getting looked at pretty hard by NFL scouts.
Basketball: Coach Groce hasn’t had us way over .500 in his short stint here, but I sure hope he stays around. From his recruits and his coaching style, I can’t argue any of it. He has a great staff, and hopefully he can keep them all around. Since he took the helm here the program is making big strides. Records are not always everything, he proved that when he took us to the NCAA tournament 2 years ago. We are a good big man from being a great team (top 25 vote worthy) this year and next with this guard play, because Baltic makes a great 4 man. DJ and Offutt are 2 of the best in the conference, and Kellogg is certainly up there.. I know you could say we couldn’t compete, but take last season, DePaul was 1-17 in the conference, 7 wins overall? And Seton Hall, Providence, South Florida and Rutgers all finished under .500. I know we can do better than that, I mean, “What’s a Hoya?”
