In a few minutes, Marshall is going to be taking on the #3 team in the country Syracuse. Although its unlikely that they win, we should root them on tonight.

It would help their rpi and therefore, make our win over them look better.

Syracuse is one of my favorite teams right behind OU but I wouldn't mind them losing one game if it helped OU.

I know Marshall is a big rival of ours but I'm down for anything that helps out the Bobcats.

For directv customers, the game is on SNY.

Marshall looks terrible early on trailing the Cuse 26-12 with 5:30 left. They can't get anything going on offense, constantly turning the ball over leading to easy Syracuse layups in transition.

I always root for the teams we play in the games leading up to our game with them and after it.

They are only down 11 they could very well come back and win. They almost did that to us and we were pounding them as well. I hope they come back and win,  of course that would put marshall back on their high horse, but so be it.

For as bad as Marshall is playing today, they are only down 11 with a little under 4 minutes remaining and they have the ball.

Their problem is they can't shoot or generate anything offensively. Their defense has been playing well and they are rebounding very well. They just are struggling to generate any offense.

Saw parts of this game on TV.  Marshall's two main problems were turnovers and inability to hit perimeter shots.  That changed in the last 10 minutes of the game, but it was too little too late.  Still, not a bad showing.  Boeheim was complimentary afterward. 

Herd outrebounded Syracuse by 10.
