Today it was terrible. Why do you want to post up 6'7" on 7' and shoot fallaways. DJ as good as he can be he should know you have to hit the rim Of course the way he shot it today maybe he just missed Next time Keely tries a one hand slam he should lose vital body parts Jon Smith should know you can't take both hands and shove. Can we just make one more pass or better yet a skip pass and maybe we get an open look.No way in hell anyone should be able to drive from the top of the key and beyond and get to the rim. It is just mind boggling how good we can look at times and just clueless at others. That is all

Serious question to stimulate debate: Are fadeaway shots "soft"?

I feel like Zeke Marshall can be negated by going at him and getting to the line.

The shooting percentage on drives blocked or missed with no call can't be far different than the percentage on fade away jumpers. And even if it is there has to be value in getting him in foul trouble. And I'm pretty sure we successfully did that in the previous victories.

And "soft" was our coach's succinct description following BG.

Obviously, there were some bad decisions made. Coach Groce said in the postgame that there were times he thought Ivo should have taken it to the hoop when he shot a jumper and the other way around. I thought Ivo was getting a step on Marshall off the dribble, but with a guy that big, even if he gets beat by a step, his length helps him recover and affect the shot. It was a tough spot. I thought Marshall didn't get called for much early in the game when there was some contact, but it can be hard to officiate a guy that's so much bigger than everyone else. He was part of the reason Ohio shot so poorly.

Big men can be neutralized if people go right at them. Problem is, we do not have that type of player.
