Great crowd. Probably 12,400 or so actual butts in seats.

Sellout, Shaq of the MAC in the house and a win over Miami : That's Ohio basketball. Classic OU-Miami finish.

Just wish the team hadn't waited so long to finally get ahead, would have been nice to see a loud crowd throughout the game rather than just in the last 5 mintues.

Meanwhile, the rest of the MAC games today drew 12,600 plus whatever NIU doesn't want to put in a box score.

This assumes the 5500 capacity at Akron was reached, as they did not report either.

I haven't checked but looking at that number I have to assume that game was at EMU.

You were right. A number like that just SCREAMS at Eastern Michigan.

Which is something that continues to be sad given the fact that they have a great building in a pretty nice community.

That was closer to what EMU had at their homecoming football game. I can't imagine they'd get over a thousand for a basketball game. Must have been a lot of Toledo fans. Shame too, because it's a nice building.

You guys think OU has it bad with OSU fans. EMU is pretty much IN Ann Arbor. Closest thing I could think of to compare it would be moving OU's campus to Dublin. EMU athletics simply cannot get out of UM's shadow.

And, you know, their football teams almost scored as much as the b-ball teams when they met last season.  The football score was UT 56-EMU 14 (70 pts); the b-ball score was EMU 41-UT 38 (79 pts).

Eagles fans are gonna be 2,000 strong by the time we roll into town.

Are they for real, or is the East going to demoralize them over the next few weeks? If the latter, they'll be back to their typical crowds of about 300 by then.
