May, osu inc. football beat writer for the dispatch the past 15 years, used to have a beer or two, with Danny Nee tending bar, in Tony's after most of those games. I used to pick his brain, as a student in Scripps at the time, with May answering in his Texas drawl. Don't know if there's a direct tie to athletics but I'm sure having the football team on ESPN six times during Nov. and Dec. didn't hurt. We will get by. We will get by. We will get by.
