Cognitive dissonance defined: Miami wants to beat Ohio. Miami cannot beat Ohio in hoops or football. Miami offers a litany of excuses to ease the dissonance (Too cool to care, Ohio is not a "real" rival, Miami's a hockey school, etc.).

I guess RedHawks can't reach high-hanging grapes either.
