Ricardo Johnson really stepped up big time. 9 points, 7 rebounds and he was constantly hustling. Been waiting to see this Ricardo all year and he finally showed up. On the other side what's with Kellogg? The last two games 1 for 11 which happens but whats disturbing is one tine he was near the top of the key with a wide open lane where two steps and he has a sure 10' shot and he passes. He needs to learn to take it down the lane.

My thoughts on Ricardo are well documented. but here they are again.  He's very athletic, high energy and does a lot of valuable intagibles during his limited minutes.  However, until he has the confidence to finish drives and knock down an open jumper I don't think he gets anything more than limited minutes.

Would love to see these aspects of his game develop at some point (and while I'm sure he was a scorer in hs, keep in mind he's a college junior in a little over a month) as we could use a mid-range slasher type.  I would however agree that as the bench shortens down the stretch, and we saw that last night with Goard/Hall get fewer minutes than normal, Ricardo is showing that he deserves to take most of their minutes and therefore his role would expand as you're suggesting.  Goard is an intagible guy right now as well who simply needs some time to develop--he'll be fine.  And Hall is a spot up shooter, who isn't shooting well.  So Ricardo would only get minute at the expense of these two other guys and not any other member of the rotation.

Rico played very well.  And, I just loved the bank shot.  Way cool.

DJ Cooper was hands down player of the game.

Can somebody hit a pull up jumper for me?.....

I think Ricardo should get player of the game just for that "acting job" in the second.  Loved the smile on his face afterwards.  To me, that was the bright spot of the game, except for the win.
