TV guys said he was scouting Jones of Ball State and was then going up to Columbus to watch his son play.

Didn't help when ESPNU showed him yawning in the 2nd half. Couldn't say I blamed him, though.

Then you need to turn in your alleged credential--'cause you non-appreciate OHIO BASKETBALL in a competitive game.

I don't have a problem with a competitive, defensive-minded game. I have a problem with a boring-a$$ foulfest like the last two games at the convo.

I was sitting right behind him and he was taking a lot more notes on DJ Cooper than he was on Jones...

THen tell the freeking athletes to move their feet, quit reaching and quit getting beat. It is hard to deny that TJ has collected every foul because he lets his man turn the corner and uses his body to try and defend. It is hard to deny that because we cant keep our man in front of us that our bigs collect fouls as they have to come of and help.

We may be one of the best defending teams in the country but some technique is atrocious and ABSOLUTELY nothing irks me more than to have a fan behind me yelling "let em play ref" when the foul is being committed consistently and stupidly.  The refs are calling what is there. It is ugly the game is deteriorating  in level of skills and fundamentals because the cry for a more physical game and less stoppage is getting louder from fans with "hoops ADD". We keep paying homage to fans by adding shot clocks, 3 point lines, less travelling calls, seemingly letting kids carry the ball every dribble and at no time has there been an outcry for coaches and the players they coach to "get better skills!" . THe officials have become the scapegoat as they make the call and are deemed a poor official. "Let em play" has devolved the game. In a gym devoid of fans I suspect kids like Tyrae Robinson from BSU would not be able to catch , step, step, fake, move pivot foot, fake ,shift pivot foot,  step step and then dribble. THat would be a travel every time.

How about less focus on the refs who are calling fouls and yell at guys who can not play D without an arm bar, a reach, a body and actually play what used to be called Position Defense where you beat a guy to a spot and use the lines as an extra defender? Perhaps it is too much to ask for fans to actually understand the mechanincs of the game and the ref is always going to be the most convenient one to blame. Little doubt int my mind why guys like Walt who grew up in IN always tend to take charges. They are taught the game the right way from day 1. Move your damn feet, Dont reach! Slide! are things they hear their whole lives.

never argue with idiots, they bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Winter comes and asks how you spent your summer.....

The game loves and rewards those who love and reward the game
