Don't know what the attendance was at today's WVU-Providence game (seemed to be at least 8,000+) but I was surprised that they were incredibly quiet even when the Friars got out to a 15-pt lead in the first half.  Maybe they knew what was coming; WVU won in OT.  But I thought Big Least crowds were supposed to be raucous.

BTW, do they call Dunkin Donuts Center "The Hole"?  (You know, the center of a donut.)

Anyone who went to Providence in 2010 isn't surprised how quiet the crowd was. They're crappy.

And it's called The Dunk, creatively.

Big East crowds in general aren't very good.  Many play in off campus sites and they typically put there studends in the end zones.   I've been to many Georgetown and Maryland games over the years and the difference is huge.  Think of it as Miami compared to Ohio.

Providence includes one of my favorite prep players, LaDontae Henton.  Not a surprise to me what a gem he's turned into for them.  Undersized four is what most people dismissed him as but he just produces.  That's why they call him "Buckets."
