Ohio is currently 2 GB of UB and 1 GB of Kent State. Who do you guys want to lose more? Personally, I want Kent State to lose, just so OU can get back to solidifying ourselves in the top four. The chances of us getting a top 2 seed has slimmed dramatically with the last two losses. I just want to focus on OU getting a bye into the quarterfinals of the MAC Tourney right now, so lets get that top 4 seed. Above, is a link to an article I wrote that basically states the importance of the second run through the MAC East portion of the schedule. The article is about UB but applies to almost any team in the MAC East. By that I mean that Kent is playing their best basketball of the season right now against the better MAC teams; Akron's really playing well right now too. We on the other peaked in December and have been on a downward slide ever since, the big win at home against Kent notwithstanding. I hope the season's long enough that we can get our mojo back. It will be interesting to see how this plays out for the teams that get the double bye.  There is a school of thought that byes hurt teams early but are huge benefits the deeper a team goes. I've never done any research to see if this is true but I've heard several talking heads mention it.
